Yes, a very special edition of The KO blogs...and for good reason. I want to address something that needs to be said about yours truly.
People want to say that I am "a closet Cena fan" or a "blinded Cena hater." You know what, that's fine. Say whatever you want...its the Internet. However, when I have explained time and time again how I have never liked Cena from the start of his career and they still choose to call me those things.... it just shows close mindedness.
I know I'll get asked "How can you have never have liked Cena?" and I will gladly answer that now. When he debut against Kurt Angle in 2002, I saw nothing special in him. His arsenal was rather bland and he looked like another one of those "bodybuilder types that have no actual skill." However, my opinion of Cena has changed a little bit since then. I see that he is more then what I thought. I see that he has some actual in ring skills and can hold his own in a match. I saw he can good on the microphone and get the fans into it. But still, there was nothing that appealed to me and my liking in a wrestler overall. Maybe I just dislike powerhouse wrestlers in general, I don't know.
Look, I don't dislike Cena. I think he is a great asset to the WWE. He brings in merchandise sales, he makes kids want to watch and can be somewhat entertaining on the mic. Does that mean I have to like him? No. He just isn't my cup of tea or glass of Dr. Pepper.
I hope certain people can understand all of this and think twice before considering me or anyone else a "blind Cena hater" or a "closet Cena fan."

I missed the hyped-up Britney Spears documentary "Britney Spears - For the Record". The horror! I was expecting her to spill the beans about the drugs, the booze, the weird British accent, a couple random rehab stints, the wigs, the gas station shinanigans, Sam Lufti, Adnan what's-his-name and of course...the head shaving incident.
But instead I hear it was all about: dance rehearsals, studio recordings, hair and makeup sessions, shopping trips, and avoiding the paparazzi/fans and that she has two fragrances available just in time for Christmas.

Esta civilización recorre un camino equivocado. Debemos conocer sus errores para devolverla a lo que debería ser, al cauce natural. Es cierto que el ser humano se ha apartado de las leyes de la Naturaleza, tanto en su obrar individual como social, y que con ellos se atrae el desorden y, en muchos casos, la destrucción. Pero aun así, todos estamos llamados a regenerarnos. Hemos visto en este cuaderno que las acciones higiénicas y naturales para regenerarnos son muy sencillas pero quizás, por eso mismo, son difíciles de realizar.
La armonía surge de una relación adecuada entre todos los seres; a nada ni a nadie aislado se le puede otorgar un valor por sí mismo, sino por la calidad de sus relaciones con las demás partes. El ser humano puede desarrollar una forma de vivir que cree armonía en sí mismo, en las personas y en el conjunto de todos los seres y elementos que habitan en el planeta. Esta armonía nace de vivir espiritualmente, de obrar con justicia en el dar y en el recibir.
En la Naturaleza se encuentran los medios que nos permiten la subsistencia, pero sólo podremos acceder a ellos si no les quitamos a los demás seres la parte que les corresponde. Además, debemos perfeccionar la Naturaleza, de manera inteligente, en beneficio del conjunto. Sólo se vive de acuerdo con la ley natural desarrollando actitudes respetuosas y constructivas que no son, por ejemplo, el matar o martirizar animales para comer, el destruir los ecosistemas de la Tierra ni tampoco el albergar sentimientos de odio o ser violento y egoísta.
Una persona no puede darse por satisfecha sólo con resolver su dieta o su terapéutica, sino que debe aspirar también a regenerar la dimensión moral y social, pues a ello está tan obligado como a la regeneración en el plano material. Cuesta sólo reflexionar un poco para darse cuenta que a la vida íntegra natural se le opone el régimen autoritario, cruel y antinatural que impera en la civilización actual.
Es cierto que hoy en día quienes se acercan a reflexionar sobre las leyes de la Naturaleza son, la gran mayoría, enfermos que no buscan nada más que la salud física. Pero esto no tiene nada que ver con esas personas evolucionadas, repletas de salud y vigor en el cuerpo y en la mente, llenas de amor a la humanidad, que desean la regeneración personal y comunitaria mediante la consciencia, el conocimiento y el obrar apropiado, y que trabajan por la transformación social, para que ocurra esa revolución que tanto necesitamos.
Así, ese hombre superior se encuentra en armonía con las leyes de la Naturaleza pues, a la vez, son las leyes que rigen sobre él y sobre la Tierra en la que habita. En estas leyes se encuentran implícitas determinada coherencia y sistematicidad, por lo que, con estudio y trabajo, el ser humano desarrolla la capacidad para conocer el Orden Natural, que aparentemente se encuentra dominado por el caos. Caos que el oscurantismo religioso intenta mantener con sus dogmas.
La moral del amor y del respeto a toda forma de vida es insuperable, aunque la Naturaleza en la que vivimos no tiene nada de "moral". Y aquí se encuentra el origen del mal. Los seres humanos soportamos una absurda y tiránica organización social que estimula y fomenta la corrupción, la perversión y el triunfo del fuerte sobre el más débil, pero esto ya viene, en parte, inherente a la Naturaleza, que es imperfecta y cuya ley es matar para vivir. Teniendo tal madre, así son sus hijos, ya de nacimiento más predispuestos al mal que al bien.
Hay quienes, poéticamente, rinden culto a la "Gran Madre Tierra". Pero no es muy acertada la creencia en una sociedad corrupta que se encuentra frente a una Naturaleza perfecta e ideal, tampoco es muy inteligente la idea de un ser humano natural, bueno, corrompido por la sociedad y el capitalismo. Los seres humanos nos encontramos sumidos en una Naturaleza que tiene sus propias leyes, ella es la que impone el precepto de "comeos los unos a los otros", y ya en nuestro interior se encuentra el ego, que se suma al desorden que reina en el exterior y es la causa de nuestro sufrimiento. Todo esto se traspasa inevitablemente al medio social; vivimos en este medio y es en él donde debemos ser conscientes y obrar adecuadamente.
Para regenerar la sociedad uno mismo debe antes regenerarse, vivir exuberante de esa vitalidad y plenitud a las que siempre acompañan la acción, la lucha, la rebeldía y el valor del poder sexual. Aunque muchos, pobres de espíritu y de conocimiento, ven todo esto con cierta nostalgia, como un ideal que el afán de lucro capitalista ha sustituido por la injusticia, la miseria y la opresión.
No debemos olvidar que la libertad es un estado del ser humano, no un derecho -los derechos son para los esclavos. La libertad no es una teoría, sino un hecho que la misma Naturaleza permite en el ser humano cuando éste se encuentra en contacto con ella, cuando la conoce y obra adecuadamente. Desde que los seres humanos dejaron de vivir en contacto directo con la Naturaleza, puede decirse que dejaron de ser seres humanos, que perdieron una parte importante de su integridad.
Los placeres que trae consigo el ser consciente y el obrar apropiadamente en los diversos planos son los placeres más elevados que una persona puede disfrutar. En este sentido, educar a los hijos y formar a las personas de acuerdo con el conocimiento espiritual, contribuir a la regeneración de la humanidad y trabajar para que el bien en la humanidad sea un hecho aquí y ahora les proporciona uno de los mayores goces. Estas personas superiores rechazan, en consecuencia, la mayor parte de lo que ofrece la sociedad, como son el hábito de fumar, el frecuentar cafés o tabernas, el asistir a bailes nocturnos, los juegos de azar, el amor mercenario y todas las degradaciones sensuales, las diversiones a costa de la vida o sufrimiento de los animales o de las personas -desde el boxeo a las corridas de toros-, la locura consumista, etc.
La nocturnidad, los aires viciados, el consumo de bebidas perjudiciales y de drogas o la aceleración del ritmo cardiaco mediante productos tóxicos estimulan sentimientos antinaturales como el afán de lucro, la ambición de poseer, la crueldad, la confrontación y la sexualidad enfermiza y animal. A todo ello ayuda el consumo de sustancias enervantes como el café o el chocolate y, especialmente, las bebidas alcohólicas. Estos son vicios funestos de los que hay que abstenerse, pues toda concesión suele conducir al hábito que degenera a uno mismo y a su descendencia.
También existe en la relación social la presión de los convencionalismos y de la censura de los demás. Esta aparece cuando uno se siente en la obligación de realizar actos contrarios a la Naturaleza y la sociedad le impide obrar naturalmente. En estos casos, la persona superior deberá obrar apropiadamente, ofreciendo lo más adecuado para las personas y para la sociedad. Lo hará con sensibilidad y delicadeza, con respeto, sin lesionar los derechos de nadie, obrando con libertad respecto de los convencionalismos y lejos del fanatismo. En este obrar es lícito sentir la felicidad y el orgullo de combatir con el ejemplo los errores de las personas y de la sociedad, pero también es bueno sentirse pleno cuando lo más adecuado es ceder a ellas.
Es necesaria una evolución psicológica y moral en el ser humano, y para que esta evolución se haga realidad es imprescindible que conozcamos la Naturaleza. Es importante que el ser humano respete el Orden natural y que aprecie la higiene física, pero no es menos importante que la higiene social se convierta en realidad, pues ésta se encuentra severamente limitada por el Poder y el estado actual de las cosas -que el mismo Poder implanta.
El verdadero Poder oculto dirige siempre a los Estados represores. Éstos son centralistas, y se apoyan en las religiones, que rechazan la pasión y la vitalidad natural, y mantienen al ser humano en la ignorancia. También se fundamentan, en esta Tierra, en el insaciable egoísmo capitalista, generador de casi todos los males que sufre la humanidad, pues conforma a los seres humanos y a las sociedades lejos de esa armonía con la Naturaleza que es tan necesaria. El origen de todos los males que sufre la humanidad se encuentra en la ignorancia y en la codicia, imperfecciones que alimenta y fortalece el Poder mediante la manipulación y la represión que impone a los seres humanos.
La única solución a estos graves problemas es vivir espiritualmente. Ser consciente y obrar adecuadamente, con firmeza y virilidad, lejos de fanatismos y de ideas fantasiosas, es la única condición para erradicar el sufrimiento y la enfermedad, para permitir que surja la salud, la felicidad y la paz tanto en uno mismo como en la sociedad. Vivir espiritualmente es respetar los caminos y los ritmos de la Naturaleza, por la consciencia y el conocimiento de la Verdad, sin esfuerzo y en paz, como lo hace un pez que nada acompañando a la corriente.

Barack Obama has admitted the Trojan horse within his gates: Hillary Clinton is to be Secretary of State. Such is destiny - clearly she survived that vicious hail of sniper fire in Bosnia for a purpose. The Bosnian incident was deeply traumatic for Hillary, especially when it was exposed as existing purely in her imagination.
Another example of her statecraft that may have impressed Obama was her claim to have brokered the Northern Ireland peace process. This was dismissed by Lord Trimble as a "wee bit silly", on the nit-picking grounds she was not present at the negotiations. But that does not mean she was not there in spirit: like another party to the event, she may have felt the hand of history upon her shoulder.
As her "aides" keep telling us, La Clinton has visited 80 countries ("If it's Tuesday it must be Belgium"), so she will bring wide experience to her role. She also brings the fact that she voted for the Iraq war, though her stance now is that she wishes she could "take it back". Has Obama made a fatal mistake? The "better inside the tent" theory was always contentious. Who knows what damage Hillary may inflict on the credibility of the administration from inside?
Remember, we are talking here about a Clinton. A Clinton wants it all - not just State. A Clinton has only one loyalty: to self-interest. Only last March Hillary was graciously indicating she might have Obama as her vice president - a time she will recall with the bitterness of defeated expectations. Then there is the ticking time-bomb that is Bill - the first black president of the United States, as he famously told us, which puts Obama in his place.
Look for a strikingly harmonious first two years. Thereafter, who knows? The Clintons will play it by ear. A carefully contrived resignation on a point of principle, possibly middle East-related, might be a sharp move around 2011, leading to a presidential challenge in 2012.
If it has all gone pear-shaped for Obama by then, a "get it right this time" campaign might succeed. Meanwhile, the more immediate poll takes place in Georgia tomorrow, where a Republican win is likely to deprive Obama of a filibuster-free Senate. Democrat cheerleaders are now pretending they never expected to take 60 Senate seats anyway and it is no big deal - the exact reverse of what they were saying a month ago. It is good to see the Obama hegemony already forced to trim its ambitions.
You get a double hit today, from Highwaylass and me. I meant to post on Friday but found myself, joy of joys, in a traffic jam which lasted from junction 20 of the M1 to junction 12 of the M25. Four sodding hours on the motorway, without topping speeds of 40mph. At least I was in an automatic - a BMW X6 to be precise. Someone said on the launch of it that BMW had answered a question no-one had asked. True enough. It got a lot of looks - I quite like the bizarre styling, but I can see why many think it's pig ugly. The rock-solid ride starts to grate after a while, too. But BMW's iDrive infotainment system is the business these days - I remember the slating it took from motoring journos when BMW introduced it, but that's because it takes a bit of getting used to and a journalist has, at best, a day in a car on a launch, so things that aren't intuitive get a slating.

Anyway, I digress. The reason I was stuck on the M1 was because I'd been at Bruntingthorpe Aerodrome doing a feature on a new initiative called The Drivers Club. More of which shortly online and in print, but as part of the day, I drove a Radical SR3 and Koenigsegg CCR. Madness.
The Koenigsegg first, because that's easier to summarise: ridiculously powerful, ridiculously styled, ridiculously noisy, ridiculously complicated, ridiculously expensive. Oh, and the most ridiculously stiff clutch pedal travel I've ever experienced - I had three laps and had to come in to stop my left leg falling off.
The Radical, on the other hand. Sooooo much fun. What a great car to hone your track skills in. Great sequential gearbox, very sensitive throttle, fantastic downforce through the corners, fabulous brakes, great sound from the Hayabusa engine. I'd love to have some tuition in one of those!
I'm a huge Lost Planet fan (possibly the biggest along with Adamazing and BTHR Zero).
Anyways, this art book is nothing new. It was released in Japan only, and I had one imported. What's different about this one though is that it's signed by some key members of the team, including: Wakazono - Designer (left), Oguro - Creative Director (center), Hosokawa - Planner (top right), Kawano - Art Director (bottom right).
To some of you this probably means little, but to me this is a book full of the ideas that became the game I've litterally poured over 5,000 hours into past three years (single player demo started May '06). Ever play that perfect game? One where everything feels like it was built for your tastes from the ground up? Lost Planet is mine. =D
Hello again. Thanks to all our painting and crafting friends who have responded to the offer of a free copy of Painting Charming Cottages and Villages by Kerry Trout. I’m really enjoying reading about your “dream houses” and I just wish I were fabulously wealthy so I could make everyone’s dream come true!
I’m struck by how many of us long for that “log cabin in the woods” and for being near the ocean, a lake, a stream, etc., and for having a big porch and a studio, and some peace and quiet.
I’m also struck by how different our dream houses can be from what we actually live in. When was the last time any of us saw big wrap-around porches in a subdivision? Or charming architectural details on a suburban ranch house?My little fixer-upper has a few Craftsman-style touches inside, but white vinyl siding outside. Yet I long for a charming Victorian cottage with a bit of gingerbread trim, a big porch where the dog can snooze, lace curtains blowing in the breeze, and flowers everywhere. I found it in Kerry’s book, but that’s as close as I’ll ever come to it.
By the way, I noticed none of us wished for a gigantic McMansion with a six-car garage and a manicured lawn.

This morning we were discussing whether we should begin dieting after Thanksgiving or just till after New Year's.
I personally think we should just start fresh after New Year's because we still have Christmas dinner to wworry about plus the many other little other holiday parties you go in between. What do you think? Should we throw any diet rules out the window during the holidays?
